Jakk’s Pacific needed two Toy Fair models for their 2018 Xtreme Power Dozer in only 4 weeks, and one Toy Fair model of their 2019 Xtreme Power Dump Truck in 3 weeks. These are two of the most labor intensive model making projects I’ve done, involving more than 70 unique parts per model, custom molded treads and tires, Translucent glowing lights, chrome body elements, and all of them pushing the bounds of our 3D printing build plate constraints. The models were constructed based off of sketch renderings and vague surface models, and the final results were all but indistinguishable from the production toy. The selling point of the Xtreme Power line is that they are capable of pushing and/or hauling up to 100 pounds. Both models successfully demonstrated this capability at New York Toy fair without any mechanical or aesthetic failures.
